Waiting for the Results (RQA)? Read This

Since the School Year 2016-2017 is just around the corner, and the implementation of the Senior High School Program draws near, many teacher-applicants are uneasy waiting for the posting of the results of the ranking process.

The Registry of Qualified Applicants (RQA) is the official list released by an education division office containing the names of the applicants who have met the cut-off scores for the selection process. In the case of Senior High School teachers, the qualifying score is 70 points.

As of press time, there has been a number of district offices that have already posted their RQA's online. Other districts allow their applicants to peek at the computed scores while some offices make a call or send a text message to their respective applicants.

Here's something praiseworthy

A rare DepEd document was found online after a netizen uploaded it in Facebook - a Certificate of Final Rating - which informs the applicant of his total score after undergoing through the evaluation process.

The letter also educates the applicant that qualifying in the Registry is not a guarantee of public school employment as it still depends on the manpower needs of a particular school.

The Division Office's gesture of professionalism greatly reduces the applicant's anxiety and gives him/her the chance to consider other career options aside from passively waiting and be left out in the end.

Hopefully, the Department of Education would implement this kind of transparency and efficiency in all of its district offices. Kudos to the Schools Division Office of Nueva Vizcaya for a job well done!
