Philippine Salary Grade Steps

The usual question of those looking for a job is how much would the salary be. However, most Filipinos usually have a hard time raising this question to potential employers, that majority rely on buzz word to get this vital information.

I think it has something to do with our upbringing, that financial literacy has not been given priority at basic education or not to focus on material wealth thus, any discussion about money makes most Filipino uneasy.

With the aim of an increased transparency in the government, the Civil Service Commission posted in its website the third phase of the Salary Standardization in the Philippines which started in 2009.
