Disciplines and Ideas in the Social Sciences

The course introduces students to basic concepts, subjects and methods of inquiry in the disciplines that comprise the Social Sciences. It then discusses influential thinkers and ideas in these disciplines, and relates these ideas to the Philippine setting and current global trends.

The course is composed of five (5) major units, broken down into manageable topics to suit the situation of Filipino senior high school learners:

The Daily Lesson Plans (DLP) are the outputs of the teachers (Class B) who participated in the Regional Mass Training of Teachers for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Subjects last May 2017 at San Fernando Pampanga.
