The Department of Education has announced on March 23 that the long-awaited Performance Based Bonus for Fiscal Year 2018 will be granted to school-based personnel in the department.
PBB is an incentive given to government employees according to their performance and contribution to the accomplishment of their agency's targets and commitments.
Although the non-school-based personnel of the DepEd Central, Regional and Schools Division Offices were denied the incentive, the AO25 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has decided to grant the 2018 PBB for teaching and non-teaching personnel in all elementary and secondary schools nationwide, subject to the submission of DepEd's school level performance rating and ranking.
According to DepEd's official statement, school level performance ranking reports have been submitted to the Task Force and DBM for funding.
