Free International Seminar for DepEd Teachers (UPDATE!)

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), is implementing TEACH ON: Keeping the Passion Alive, a Massive  Open Online Course (MOOC) for teachers.

This MOOC aims to inspire, rekindle and sustain teachers' passion for teaching, and improve their core competencies as basic education teachers.

The program is open to qualified teachers who can navigate and have access to the internet using a computer or smartphone, and are committed to complete the course.

The MOOC is equivalent to 40 hours training and is self-paced. Interested participants are instructed to register at bit.ly/teachondeped1 and each region must send a list of nominees on or before December 3, 2019. The DepEd Google Form has the following instructions:

1. Use your DepEd email account in accomplishing this form.
2. To be one of your region's OFFICIAL participants, please coordinate with your Region's Human Resource and Development Division (HRDD), through your SDO's SGOD-HR Unit.

The course runs on December 13, 2019 until March 15, 2020. Read the official DepEd Memorandum here.

Whether you were nominated by your DepEd Regional HRDD or not, teachers can still enroll in the online course by following the steps below:

1. Create an account in https://www.keep.edu.hk
2. After completing the sign-up form, confirm the activation link sent to your email (no need for DepEd email, any email account will do)
3. Login to your KEEP account.
4. On the website, find the course TEACH ON. Course link:  https://course.keep.edu.hk/course/237975
5. Click on the Enroll button.

Take note that the course contents will be accessible once the course begins. The self-paced online course will run from December 13, 2019 to March 15, 2020. Happy learning!
