There will be an increase in the basic salary of teachers and other government employees effective January 1, 2019. This is according to the Executive Order No. 201 Modifying the Salary Schedule of for Civilian Government Personnel which were carried out in four tranches. Here is the adjusted salary schedule for final tranche.
According to latest salary schedule, the gross basic salary of entry level teachers will go up to P20,754 this 2019 with the implementation of the fourth tranche while teachers II and III will receive 22,938 and 25,232 respectively.
The basis for the compensation adjustment strategy is the Compensation and Benefits Study for the Public Sector carried out by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

It can be recalled the President Rodrigo Duterte pledged to grant an increase in the salary of public school teachers and directed the Cabinet to explore ways to raise their take home pay after the final tranche of the Salary Standardization Law.
