The Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers have released the results of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) on November 30, 2015 after 48 working days.
The country adds around 55,000 new professional teachers to its workforce with 21,461 elementary teachers out of 68,442 examinees (31.36% passing rate) and 34,010 secondary teachers out of 81,463 examinees (41.75%).
The Professional Regulatory Commission will start processing the Registration for the issuance of PRC ID cards and Certificate of Registration on December 7, 2015. As per DepEd guidelines, a teaching license is a mandatory requirement for a permanent position in Senior High School.
